Pitch Report
Square boundaries are 64 metres, with 72 metres down the ground. The surface looks like a belter of a wicket flat, consistent, and full of runs. According to Murali Kartik and Michael Clarke, even a total of 200 may not be enough here.
This is a mixed soil pitch 25% black soil and 75% red soil, aiding pace and bounce early but likely to stay true throughout. The key will be bowling back of a length and targeting those shorter square boundaries.
Notably, 6 out of the last 8 matches at this venue have been won by teams batting first.
