ICC Champions Trophy 2013:India's Victory Under MS Dhoni

India finally won the Champions Trophy finals in 2013, lifting the prestigious trophy. Heavy rain during the final reduced the number of overs in the match to 20 per innings. India scored 129 in 20 overs and successfully defended the target. Before that, India remained beaten in the tournament, and Shikhar Dhawan, with 363 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja, with 12 wickets, dominated the tournament.

India was the joint winner of the 2002 Champions Trophy, which was abandoned due to rain. India was unbeaten in the tournament, defeating South Africa in the semi-finals and registering wins against Zimbabwe and England in the group stage.

India was runner-up in the Champions Trophy in 2017 as the team lost the final against its arch-rival Pakistan. Though India had defeated Pakistan in the group stage, Pakistan gave a shameful defeat to India by winning with 190 runs.
