Points Table — Field Definitions
Abbreviation Full Name Meaning Example
M Matches Total number of matches the team has played in the series or tournament. M = 5 → the team played 5 matches.
W Won Number of matches the team has won. W = 3 → the team won 3 matches.
L Lost Number of matches the team has lost. L = 2 → the team lost 2 matches.
T Tied Matches that ended in a tie (scores level at the end of play). T = 1 → the team had 1 tied match.
NR No Result Matches that produced no official result (e.g. abandoned due to weather). NR = 1 → one match was abandoned / no result.
Pts Points Points awarded based on match outcomes (common system: Win = 2, Tie/No Result = 1, Loss = 0). Tournament rules may vary. Pts = 10 → e.g. 5 wins × 2 points = 10.
NRR Net Run Rate A tie-breaking metric that reflects a team's run scoring rate minus the run rate conceded across matches. Used when teams have equal points. NRR = +0.75 → team scores faster than it concedes on average.
