However, he apologized for his comment to the Bangladesh Cricket Board and said that he did not intend to hurt anyone and apologized to those who were hurt. He denied the claim that he is a
misogynist saying, ‘My mother is a woman, so I never can be a misogynist’. Fellow cricketer Mehidy Hasan Miraz said on social media that though he posted the comments in a ‘wrongful’ manner which he (Tanzim) realized, he never intended to show any misogyny in his comment.
