Tanzid Hasan, an aggressive left-handed opener nicknamed Tamim, is Bangladesh’s new white-ball hope post-Tamim Iqbal. After a 2023 World Cup half-century, he worked with Shahriar Nafees and had a strong BPL season. In 2025, he scored a Bangladesh record 775 T20I runs at a strike rate of 135.25. Despite missing the 2026 T20 World Cup due to political reasons, he hit his maiden international hundred in an ODI series win over Pakistan. A member of the 2020 U19 World Cup-winning side, he overcame family opposition to play. In March 2026, Peshawar Zalmi signed him for HBL PSL 2026 as a late addition, boosting their top order.
