Gyanendra Malla

Gyanendra Malla is an Nepali right-handed batsman who plays for the Yangal Club. He was a part of the Nepal Under-15 and Under-19 squad before joining the senior side. He participated in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. He had a good time scoring 145 runs in six innings, including a gritty 45 in a famous two-run win against South Africa in the Plate semi-final. Due to this performance, he was appointed as the vice-captain for the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia.

Malla played in 33 matches in the World Cricket League between 2008 and 2013 and scored 653 runs at an average of 32.65, including 4 fifties. He is currently the vice-captain of Nepal. Malla had a decent run in the 2014 World T20 scoring 83 runs in 3 games. He top-scored against Hong Kong with an aggressive 48 putting up a 80-run stand with Paras Khadka and helping Nepal post a decent 149.
