Akash Madhwal

Akash Madhwal is an Indian cricketer, who plays as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and right-handed batsman. He is known for his ability to bowl lethal yorkers, his impressive five-wicket haul in the 2023 IPL playoffs, and for his civilian background as a civil engineer. He has represented Uttarakhand domestically and played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, and was later acquired by the Rajasthan Royals for the 2025 season. 

Akash Madhwal joined the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as a replacement player for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. He was signed for his base price of INR 30 Lakh to take the place of top-order batter Ayush Mhatre, who was ruled out due to a left hamstring injury.
