After exciting matches over the last three weeks, the third edition of the Women's Premier League is entering its last leg, with upcoming matches to be played in the last venue of the season at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. This will be the last group-stage match of Gujarat Giants this season, and will be playing against Mumbai Indians. This article will discuss their predicted playing XI for the upcoming match no. 19.

Top Order

For the top order, Gujarat Giants will be having Beth Mooney and Dayalan Hemalatha as the openers. Mooney is coming off great form, scoring an unbeaten 96 against UP Warriorz and 44 against Delhi Capitals in the last match. Dayalan Hemalatha, the another opener in the team has been struggling to score runs this season. While in the last match against Mumbai Indians she was dropped from the playing XI but she is expected to play this match against Mumbai despite struggling with the form. For the third no. position Harleen Deol will be batting; Harleen is coming off an impressive form, scoring a crucial 45 runs off 32 against UP Warriorz while scoring 70 off 49 in the last match against Delhi Capitals, hitting 9 boundaries and one six.

 

Middle Order 

In the middle order, captain Ashleigh Gardner will be leading the team in the middle order along with Deandra Dottin and Phoebe Litchfield; Ashleigh Gardner is in great form this season, scoring 235 runs so far and currently at the no. 5 in the orange cap race. In the last match she was looking good getting an aggressive start, but could score only 22 off 13 before getting dismissed. On the other hand, Deandra is struggling with her form too, scoring 24 runs in the last match against Delhi Capitals. Meanwhile, Phoebe Litchfield was dismissed for a duck in the same match.

 

Lower Order

For the lower-order, Gujarat Giants has young all-rounders Bharti Fulmali and Kashvee Gautam. Both the batter will be responsible to score some runs quickly in the last few overs.

 

Bowler

For the bowling attack, Gujarat will be led by Deandra Dottin and Kashvee Gautam along with the Indian trio of Tanuja Kanwar, Meghna Singh and Priya Mishra. In the last match against Delhi Capitals, Deandra and Meghna performed well taking 2 and 3 wickets respectively. Along with these five bowlers captain Ashleigh Gardner will also be bowling few overs giving an extra option in the bowling.
