Warner Urges CA to Clarify Ball Change Incident in Australia A-India A Match

Warner Urges CA to Clarify Ball Change Incident in Australia A-India A Match

David Warner has urged Cricket Australia to provide a full explanation regarding the ball change incident that occurred during the final day of the Australia A-India A match in Mackay.

During the game, Indian players, particularly wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, expressed anger when a different ball was given to them by the umpires before play. Umpire Shawn Craig was heard on stump microphone explaining that the previous ball had scratches, leading to the change. Despite initial tensions, a subsequent CA statement stated that the ball had "deteriorated" and no further action would be taken, with both teams' captains and managers informed beforehand.

Warner, though not fully briefed on the incident, suggested that CA swiftly resolved the issue in anticipation of India's upcoming tour for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He emphasized that if umpires deemed an issue, there should be follow-up from match officials.
