Virat Kohli’s Childhood Coach Reveals: ‘London Move Confirmed, His Greatness Was Seen After U14 Rejection

Virat Kohli just keeps getting better. The star batter is lighting up the Indian Premier League (IPL) once again, playing some brilliant cricket for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 33-year-old is close to hitting the 400-run mark this season and is currently second in the race for the Orange Cap. However, Virat Kohli is dominating the social media chatter for another reason: intense speculation about him and Anushka Sharma seemingly having shifted base to London.

Since the birth of their second child, Akaay, in February 2024, the celebrity couple has been seen around London quite often. Recently, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, shared that the former India captain is planning to settle down in London.

While speaking to Dainik Jagran, Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, had confirmed the cricketer's decision to move away from India and shift to London.

“Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket," Sharma said

What was the moment when this boy was going to be big, and he was not going to stop? "When Virat was not selected in U14 trials - he was gutted and he cried a lot but next year he scored two memorable innings - 254* & 198, that time everyone realised that guy was going to be big," Virat Kohli's Childhood coach said.

The right-handed batter has scored 392 runs in nine matches so far, with five half-centuries to his name. RCB are currently sitting in third place on the points table, with 12 points from 9 games.

The franchise will next square off against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, April 27.
