Trichy Grand Cholas register their second win of the tournament as they beat Siechem Madurai Panthers by 4 wickets remaining and 11 balls to spare. Earlier, Trichy Grand Cholas won the toss and opted to bowl first. Siechem Madurai Panthers were struggling at 29-5 at one stage. However, some crucial knocks from Sarath Kumar, Atheeq Ur Rahman and Gurjapneet Singh helped them to a competitive score of 131/7. K Easwaran, Athisayaraj Davidson, and P Saravan Kumar all bowled well and bagged 2 wickets apiece for their side.
R Rajkumar's Late Blitz Powers Trichy Grand Cholas to 4-Wicket Win
Chasing 132, Trichy Grand Cholas lost HI Waseem Ahmed early with a score of 9 on the board. K Gowtham bowled brilliantly with the new ball and removed S Sujay as well inside the powerplay. However, J Suresh Kumar held one end firmly. He batted brilliantly for his knock of 44 runs in 36 balls before getting out to Karthik Meiyappan.
Trichy Grand Cholas then lost wickets at regular intervals and were 77-5 at one stage. R Rajkumar then walked in at the crease. He smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. R Rajkumar played a solid knock of 37* runs in just 15 balls, and along with Jafar Jamal (17* off 8 balls), the duo ensured that they got their side over the line by 4 wickets.
