Smriti Mandhana Sets New Record With Fastest ODI Century By An Indian Woman, Breaks Harmanpreet's Record

Smriti scored his fastest ODI hundered by IndianIn the three-match ODI series against Ireland, Smriti Mandhana, who's the captain of the Indian women's team, is doing very well with his batting. After two impressive fifties, she set a new record by scoring the fastest ODI century by an Indian woman, reaching it in just 70 balls.

Mandhana broke the record that was set by Harmanpreet Kaur, she was striking the ball very well during the third ODI against Ireland. The game happened at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on January 15 while she was playing along with her opening teammate, Pratika Rawal.

Harmanpreet hit two amazing hundreds in just 87 balls. She scored one of these hundreds against South Africa in 2024, and the second one while she was scoring an iconic 175 runs against Australia in the 2017 Women's World Cup in England.

Mandhana was on fire with his batting, and it seemed she was going to conjoin the record and be the next quickest to score a WODI century, after Meg Lanning the former Australia captain who did it in just 45 balls. But then, the 28-year-old somewhat took some more balls and finished her century in 70 balls.

With her century, she achieved her 10th century in just 97 matches, Mandhana is now one of only four women players in history to have scored 10 WODI centuries.
