RCB Players Come Together in a First-of-a-Kind Pre-Season Camp

Royal Challenger Bangaluru became the first team to start on-ground practice for the team their players for the IPL 2025. Marquee domestic players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya were seen as the camp. In the camp, coach Andy Flower gave them an introduction to the team and Management; in his introductory speech, he talked about how the tournament progressed and about the previous year and how the team, after a rough start, went on to win six games in a row and reached the playoffs.
Players were seen spending their time in the nets and practice ground, especially Rajat Patidar, who was seen batting in the middle of the ground. RCB has a strong overseas player group for the IPL 2025 , including William Livingstone, Phil Salt, Josh Hazelwood, and more.
Captain For the season
Well, who will become the captain of the team remains unknown. There was chatter about Virat Kohli becoming the RCB captain again. Still, reports suggest he will again become the team captain when Mo Bobat, RCB’s Director for Cricket, was asked about Virat Kohli's prospects for captains in the IPL 2025. After the auctions, he said that while being Virat, a centre figure of the team, they hadn't decided yet.
“Virat is a central figure and a senior member of the team. But we haven't made any decision when it comes to captaincy. We will decide later on.”

The team has also released a series of videos about their auction planning; it's worth mentioning that fans were disappointed over the release of Will Jacks, who played a crucial role in the last games of IPL 2024, including a magnificent century against Gujarat Titans.
This year, RCB has focused on building a strong bowling attack, for which the team bought Josh Hazelwood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Lungi Ngidi. For the batting side, the team also bought 3 English players for the season: top-order wicket-keeper Phil Salt, young batter Jacob Bethell and All-rounder Liam Livingston , who is well-known for his long sixes.
This is the RCB Squad for this next season.
