Rahul Dravid’s Younger Son Anvay Dravid Selected in India’s U19 Challenger Trophy Squad Ahead of World Cup
Anvay Dravid, son of former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, took for Team C in the upcoming Men's Under-19 One Day Challenger Trophy, to be held in Hyderabad starting from the November 5th. The Junior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalized four teams with the BCCI approval.
This yearly tournament is a fun way for young cricket players to showcase their talents to the IPL and national selectors. As per the tournament schedule, the league stage will be played between November 5th and 9th. The knockout matches will be played on November 11th. Team C, captained by Aaron George, will face Team B, captained by Vedant Trivedi, in their first game on Friday.
Anvay Dravid's record in age-group cricket has been tremendous. Last season, he scored 459 runs in six matches at an average of 91.80, including two centuries in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy, finishing as the leading run-scorer for Karnataka.
Furthermore, Anvay Dravid was the captain of Karnataka in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy (U19 One Day Tournament), continuing to showcase his leadership capabilities. Furthermore, the Dravid family has shown that cricket runs in their generations.
