"‘I Am H*tter": Parag’s Bold Response to Viral Search History

Indian cricketer Riyan Parag became a subject of controversy and was trolled on social media after his YouTube search history was revealed to the public during a live stream after the IPL 2024 season. It soon went viral as his fans laughed and criticized him for searching about Bollywood actresses Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan in an inappropriate way.
Parag, who played an important role for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024, had restarted his gaming live streams after the tournament. However, during one of his YouTube streams, he forgot to hide his screen, accidentally revealing his search history, which included searches for “Ananya Panday ht” and “Sara Ali Khan ht.”
This led to the screenshots being shared across social media platforms, and Parag became the subject of unwanted trending. After a few hours of not speaking up, he finally commented on the controversy. When asked about the viral incident, he simply responded, “I am h*tter.”
Parag explained the situation during a candid chat with City1016 Radio. He said, “I finished the IPL, we were in Chennai, finished the match, got on a Discord call with my streaming team, and this got publicized now, but it actually happened before the IPL. Someone in my Discord team tried to set me up before the tournament, but it was taken down quickly. After the IPL, since there was hype and I had a good season, I opened my stream. I didn’t have Spotify or Apple Music because everything was deleted.”
He continued, “So I went on YouTube to play music and searched for songs. I didn’t realize what was happening, but after the stream ended, I was like, ‘Oh s**t, this happened.’ It just got blown out of proportion. I didn’t think it was worth making a public statement because no one would understand.”
