PSL 2026: Why is there no game today?
Pakistan Super League (PSL) is nearing its midpoint, with the Lahore leg wrapped up and teams travelling to Karachi for the next phase. There are still a few games, including three of the playoff games, to be played in Lahore, which means more travelling is still on the cards. To help teams commute with an ample amount of rest, the league had planned rest days.
Why April 7 has no match
This is the reason why there is no game on April 7, a day before Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen meet in Karachi for the first game at the venue. Earlier, March 30 was also a no-match day to let teams catch a breather after a double-header weekend.
Current standings snapshot
Currently, Multan Sultans, who have played five games so far, are at the top of the points table, with four wins and one loss. In contrast to Multan’s brilliant campaign, the debutants Hyderabad and Rawalpindiz have yet to open their account, having played three and four games respectively.
Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi have yet to lose a match, though the latter has only won one game and had their other game washed out.
Teams will play a total of 22 games at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
