PSL 2026: Points Table, Most Runs, & Most Wickets as Babar leads Zalmi to sixth straight win

Is there any stopping Peshawar Zalmi’s juggernaut? They have played seven games, and barring a washout, they have won every game. Batting first or second. Facing the table-toppers or wooden spooners. Playing with their lead pacers or featuring debutants. So far, Zalmi have aced every situation. They have a foot in the playoffs, and another win could further solidify their chances.

Would it be a surprise to know that currently the top two wicket-takers and run-scorers are all from Zalmi? Sufiyan Muqeem, after his 3/25 against Quetta Gladiators, became the first bowler in the league to take at least three wickets in five matches on the bounce. This took his wicket tally to 16, six more than the next on the list, Iftikhar Ahmed.

Iftikhar being on this list is baffling, but not if you watched him bowl for Zalmi. Even when the side had bowlers like Sufiyan, Nahid Rana, and Shoriful Islam keeping things tight, Iftikhar somehow managed to stay in the limelight.

Babar Azam led Zalmi to their win over Quetta by scoring an unbeaten 71. He now has 301 runs this season, just 29 shy of Kusal Mendis, who is leading the charts.
