Prithvi Shaw Apologizes to Musheer Khan During Mumbai vs Maharashtra Practice Game

Prithvi Shaw Apologizes to Musheer KhanPrithvi Shaw has spoken to Musheer Khan to clear the misunderstanding after their argument during the Mumbai vs Maharashtra practice match at the MCA Stadium in Gahunje, Pune. The incident happened on the first day when Shaw, who was playing for Maharashtra against his old team, got upset after Musheer dismissed him.

The aggressive opener, who had just scored an impressive 181 off 220 balls, was seen rushing toward the young Mumbai all-rounder after he was reportedly taunted while walking back. Three days later, Shaw made the first move to make peace. During Maharashtra’s innings on Day 3, he went up to Musheer after a wicket fell, put his arm around him, and the two had a short but friendly talk.

"Prithvi realized his mistake, and approached Musheer and apologised to him.Prithvi told him that ' I am like an elder brother to you.'So all is well between the two," Source told.

Shaw’s innings, which included 21 fours and three sixes, helped Maharashtra build a huge 305-run opening partnership with Arshin Kulkarni, who scored 186 off 140 balls. But the argument after Shaw’s dismissal grabbed more attention than the big performance. Maharashtra captain Ankit Bawne later said it wasn’t a big deal, adding, “These things happen in practice matches. Everything is fine now.”

Sarfaraz Khan Declared Fit for Ranji Trophy Return

In other news, Mumbai got some good news as Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer’s older brother has been declared fit for the upcoming Ranji Trophy. After completing his rehab at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru following a quadriceps injury, Sarfaraz will return to the Mumbai squad for their opening match against Jammu & Kashmir starting October 15. The team, picked by Sanjay Patil’s selection panel, will be announced on Friday.

Sarfaraz last played a competitive match in May during India A’s tour of England Lions, where he scored a promising 92. After that, he missed the England tour as Karun Nair and Sai Sudharsan were chosen instead. He then performed brilliantly in the Buchi Babu Tournament, hitting two centuries before getting injured.
