Pat Cummins Injury Update: Aussie Skipper Shares Fresh Fitness Update, Reveals Tentative Comeback Date

Australia’s star fast bowler Pat Cummins has shared some good news about his recovery, saying he is “on track” to return soon. However, he will miss the first Ashes Test due to a back injury.
Pat Cummins Gives Positive Update on His Fitness
The much-awaited Ashes series will begin on November 20 in Perth, but Cummins won’t play the opener. The Aussie captain is hopeful of making his comeback in the second Test at the Gabba, which starts on December 4 in Brisbane.
As per a report from Australian Cricket Board. Cummins has been bowling nearly eight overs in the nets, using about three-fourths of his run-up. The good sign is that he’s not feeling any pain or discomfort, and looks close to bowling at full speed again.

"That's the plan - we're getting ready for the second Test," Cummins said during the Seven Network's cricket launch on Friday. "I feel good, my body feels good, and I will have a good bowl in Perth and assess where I am at." Cummins' last game for Australia was in July, during the Test series against the West Indies, and since then he hasn't played any cricket which means he hasn't been on the field for close to four months, and because of that, Cricket Australia is cautious before clearing him for the Ashes.
