Pakistanis in T20 Blast: Hasan Ali shines as Mohammad Ali, Akif still on lookout for their groove
Hasan Ali was once again at his top game for Yorkshire as he grabbed three wickets against Gloucestershire.
Hasan Ali stays consistent
The dominant performance took his wickets tally to six in three games, which is the joint sixth-highest in the T20 Blast, with an economy of 12.83, the fourth-best this season so far.
Against Gloucestershire, Hasan was decently economical as well as he gave just 27 runs in an innings where the opposition put together 217 runs. None of Yorkshire's other fast bowlers conceded less than ten runs an over except him.
His first two overs were a bit on the expensive side for Yorkshire as he conceded 17 runs but he bounced back in his third as he grabbed two wickets in one over.
He first removed the Gloucs' top-scorer D'Arcy Short, who looked comfortable batting on 82. Following his dismissal, Hasan got rid of captain Jack Taylor, who looked threatening having scored 20 in 10 balls.
His third wicket came on the last ball of his spell as he used change of pace to get the better of Ollie Price.
Pakistan players still finding their feet
Unlike Hasan, his fellow Pakistan batters aren't having an easy of a time in the league. In the same game, Faheem Ashraf conceded 60 runs in his quota of four overs.
Similarly, Usman Tariq, Akif Javed, and Mohammad Ali have been a little iffy as well. While Ali has taken the same number of wickets, 6, as Hasan, his have come at a worse bargain, having conceded runs at a rate of 22.83 per over.
