Postponed National T20 Cup final set to be scheduled on June 6 or 7

The final of National T20 Cup, Pakistan's domestic T20 competition, is likely to be held on June 6 or 7 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore under the floodlights. Originally, the competition finale, between Karachi Whites and Abbottabad, was slated to be played on March 18 at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar.

Persistent rain postponed the game

However, persistent rain and the start of Pakistan Super League on March 26 delayed the game. In fact, the decision of the second semi-final between Lahore Whites and Abbottabad had to be taken on the basis of standings in the points table as rain washed out the game. For the final, the Pakistan Cricket Board said "exact date and venue for the final will be shared closer to the match".

Among Pakistan national team players, who are currently engaged in the ODI series against Australia, only Shadab Khan is part of a finalist squad. With the Australia series set to finish on June 4, player availability shouldn't be a problem.
