For the UAE, it’s been a mixed start. They were beaten badly by India in their opening match, but bounced back with a solid 42-run victory against Oman. Their opening pair, Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem, will be key again after both hit fifties and added 88 runs together in quick time against Oman. In the bowling attack, Junaid Siddique, fresh off a four-wicket haul, will lead the charge with support from Haider Ali and Muhammad Jawadullah.
