Pakistan reach Dhaka for a start-stop series against Bangladesh
Pakistan team has reached Dhaka, where they will contest hosts Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series. The series will run from March 11 to 15, after which the team will return home for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on March 26.
Following the conclusion of the PSL, which is expected to be in the first week of May, the team will once again return to play two Test matches, which will be part of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC). The Test series will begin on May 8.
Training camps before the series
The team’s first training session is scheduled for Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, where all three games are scheduled to be played.
Pakistan also held a two-day training camp in Karachi before their departure.
Head-to-Head Record
This is the first time since 2015 that Pakistan and Bangladesh will face each other in a bilateral ODI series. The last time both teams were scheduled to play an ODI series was in 2020, with one 50-over game in Pakistan. However, due to the emergence of COVID-19, the series was postponed indefinitely.
Since then, they have met each other thrice, but only in multi-nationals (once each during the 2023 ODI World Cup, 2023 Asia Cup, and 2025 Champions Trophy).
Pakistan have a better head-to-head record than Bangladesh in ODIs. Out of 39 matches the two teams contested, Bangladesh have only won five. However, their last completed ODI series, in 2015, was won by them 3-0
