Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL winners, unveiled their new jersey for the 2025 season on Friday. Having had a hard 2024 season, the side is ready to make a comeback and go for their sixth title. Captain Hardik Pandya delivered a special message for the fans during the jersey launch, assuring to uphold the proud legacy of the team. He will be at the helm of a solid unit featuring former skipper Rohit Sharma, superstar bowler Jasprit Bumrah, India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, and up-and-coming talent Tilak Varma.
“Dear Paltan, we know our last season was one to forget, but now a new season is upon us - with a chance to make it right - 2025 is our opportunity to bring back the legacy where it belongs with the blue & Gold on us - we will take the field to play like Mumbai - this is not just our jersey, this is a promise to you - come, let's meet at Wankhed." Pandya said.
Mumbai’s jersey for IPL 2025 stays true to the iconic blue and gold that have always defined the team's spirit. Mumbai Indians New Season, New Hopes
The team will kick off their season with an evening game against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, March 23. After a six-day break, they will take on the Gujarat Titans Pandya’s former title-winning side from IPL 2022, on Saturday, March 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Just two days later, Mumbai will play their first home game against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium on March 31.
Mumbai face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a traditional Rohit vs Kohli showdown on April 7 at home, and they face Chennai once more on Sunday, April 20 in an evening fixture. Finishing last with just four victories in 14 fixtures in a poor IPL 2024 season, Mumbai Indians are looking to make a comeback and find redemption in IPL 2025.
