MS Dhoni’s Heartwarming Moment with Sarfaraz Khan’s Son Goes Viral

MS Dhoni is not just loved for what he does on the field, but also for moments like this off it. A video of the former Chennai Super Kings captain playing with Sarfaraz Khan’s young son went viral on Monday, March 23.

In the video shared by Sarfaraz on Instagram, the former India captain is seen spending time with the one-year-old at the CSK camp in Chennai. The clip quickly grabbed attention online. Dhoni is seen playing with the child, gently tossing a ball and enjoying a fun moment. Fans loved seeing this softer side of him and many praised him in the comments.

With teams getting ready for the IPL season, such moments also show the relaxed and positive mood inside the camp. Sarfaraz Khan and his family welcomed a baby boy on October 21, 2024 in Mumbai. He has not shared the child’s name yet. The birth came just two days after Sarfaraz scored his first Test century 150 against New Zealand in Bengaluru and just before his 27th birthday.

Sarfaraz comes into IPL 2026 after a decent domestic season. In List A cricket, he scored a quick 150 against Goa in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also did well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy scoring 329 runs including a 100* off 47 balls against Assam and 73 off 22 against Rajasthan.

Chennai Super Kings have already gathered in Chennai for their IPL campaign. They will start their season in Guwahati against Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Stadium on March 30. After that, CSK will return home to face Punjab Kings on April 3, then travel to play Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 5. They will be back in Chennai to take on Delhi Capitals on April 11 starting a busy opening phase of the season.
