Mitchell Marsh Jokes About Bumrah Nightmare Repeating in Backyard with Nephew's 'Boom Action'

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh admitted that Jasprit Bumrah the Indian fast bowler still bothers him. Mitchell Marsh who was replaced during the series against India due to poor performance, recalled how his nephew started bowling with an action similar to that of Bumrah, thus reminding him of the difficult times he had facing the Indian bowler.
The 33-year-old had a challenging performance in the recent Test series against India on home soil, with Bumrah dismissing him three times. Marsh failed to impress much, making 73 runs in four Tests with a high score of 47. Fitness issues may have prompted the selectors to call up Beau Webster for the last Test.
At the Australian Cricket Awards ceremony, Marsh opened up about how his 4-year-old nephew, Ted, had been giving him trouble, just like Bumrah, during a game of backyard cricket. He explained that Ted had started bowling with Bumrah’s action and it was the same nightmare for him.
"My little nephew Ted is four years old. We played backyard cricket one day, and he came in with Bumrah's action, and the nightmare continued." Marsh said.

Bumrah ended as India’s highest wicket-taker in the IND vs AUS Test sеries, he took 32 wickets at an average of 13.06. He didn’t just bowl the most ovеrs either, he was the standout pace bowler, shouldering the workload of the entire bowling attack. Hе could have taken more wickets, but unfortunately, a back spasm during the 1st innings of the 5th Test forced him to stay off the field for the rest of the match.
In the meantime, Marsh has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy squad due to a back injury. Cricket Australia, said he suffered from a low back flare-up, which meant the medical staff extended his layoff. He will also require more rest and rehabilitation before he can be fit enough to play again.
