Jasprit Bumrah Reached NCA; IPL 2025 Availability Depends on Clearance: Reports
Mumbai Indians star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah has reportedly returned to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to keep a check on his recovery process before the highly anticipated Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) after suffering a severe back injury. The Indian pacer is preparing for the new season, where he will again be playing for MI on the pitch.
Bumrah made his second visit to the NCA in a short span as he eagerly awaits clearance to compete in the upcoming IPL 2025. The 18th edition of the tournament is set to commence on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening clash at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
According to reports from Cricbuzz, Jasprit Bumrah had faced some inconvenience while bowling during his last visit to the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Therefore, the officials of the NCA suggested specific exercises and scheduled a follow-up check to review his recovery. At present, the situation is more optimistic regarding Bumrah's health, with his recovery being watched carefully at the NCA, and he is optimistic about getting clearance this time.
Mumbai Indians Await Final Word on Bumrah’s Fitness
The most important factor in determining Bumrah's availability for IPL 2025 will be whether he can bowl without any discomfort. If he succeeds in doing that, his possibility of getting clearance to play will be high. But the ultimate decision is likely to take a week, meaning that he will probably miss Mumbai Indians' first two games of the tournament.
Mumbai Indians will be eager to have Bumrah in their bowling attack to ensure a strong start to their IPL 2025 campaign. They are set to kick off their season with a high-voltage clash against Chennai Super Kings on March 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
