It's less than five days remaining for the eighteenth edition of the Indian Premier League, and a lot of runs are expected to be scored this season as most of the players are in form. We are witnessing season by season that the IPL is getting favourable for batters, which has resulted in higher runs getting scored every season. The upcoming season of the IPL will start on the 22nd of March with a match between two top teams, defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This IPL season will feature 74 matches where all the teams will be playing 14 games, 7 of which will be home games while 7 will be away games, while the season will end on 25th May with the finals.

He has eight centuries and is currently the highest run-scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League. With his impressive record, he is the leading contender to be the highest run-scorer in the season, and he could win the orange cap for the third time.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

The young captain of Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad, is another strong contender to win the orange cap this season.
