IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru New Star Batter, RCB Fans Excited

A 21-year-old boy is gaining a lot of attention and praise in the cricketing fraternity. You must have heard about him till now; Jacob Bethell, a young sensation in international cricket right now, is a batting allrounder, and only a few people know about him at the start of the year.

From making a debut in the T20 international cricket to appearing in one day international, getting ECB upgraded contact to playing his first international test match against New Zealand last month, he has done it all. And the most impressive feat, getting an IPL contract, was that Jacob Bethell was purchased by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the auction for 2.6 crore after intense bids from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings.

RCB released a video in which they were planning Jacob Bethell's acquisition at the IPL auction. It was seen that the RCB Cricket Director said that he is the next England star after Harry broke, that he will play all formats, and that he is poised to become a phenomenal player in his career. Along with him, batting coach Dinesh Kartik also mentioned that he is a gun fielder and he can give some overs with this off-spin, which is going to be very beneficial for the team.
