The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League has started with some exciting matches. The next match is between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Both teams are coming off winning their first matches and are in good form, especially RCB, which defeated KKR by seven wickets in the inaugural match of the season. For this season (IPL 2025), RCB has made significant changes to their squad, and with these changes, the team is looking strong. RCB acquired exciting players like Phil Salt, Krunal Pandya, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the recent mega auction. But despite being a famous franchise, RCB is still waiting for their first title, and whether they will win it this season remains uncertain and can only be answered at the end of the season but the team is looking string and is capable of winning the tutle. In this season, RCB will be playing a total of 14 matches, out of which seven will be held at their home venue, M Chinnaswamy Stadium. After winning their first match against KKR, RCB will be eyeing their second victory against CSK.

Top Order

RCB’s top order is looking like one of the best in the season, with English batter Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opening the innings, while young Indian batter Devdutt Padikkal will bat at number 3 as an impact player. Virat and Phil have already shown their agressive intent in the first match, as both the ooenrs played some aggressive cricket scoring back-to-back boundaries for the time they remained on the crease. It will be interesting to see whether this top order can repeat their previous performance in the upcoming match against CSK at Chepauk Stadium or not.

Middle Order

RCB’s middle order is looking strong with captain Rajat Patidar batting at number 4. Patidar is well-known for his ability to play spin, while English batter Liam Livingston, known for his powerful six-hitting skills, will bat at number 5. Batting at the fifth position, Jitesh Sharma has recently gained a lot of respect after his consistent performances in domestic cricket, following which RCB acquired him in the mega auction for a whopping price of 11 crore. With this strong trio, RCB's middle order appears formidable

Lower order

In the lower order, RCB will have two key all-rounders: Singaporean-Australian Tim David, who can change the direction of a match within overs, and Krunal Pandya. Both will play a crucial role for the team in the lower order

Bowlers

In the bowling department, the trio includes star Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood, experienced Indian pacer Bhubaneswar Kumar, who is well-known for his swing abilities, and Yash Dayal, the third pacer. In the spin department, Suyash Sharma will lead the charge along with Krunal Pandya and Liam Livingstone in the middle overs.
