After effectively defending their total of 196 runs the Titans secured their maiden triumph of the season with a commanding 36-run margin.

Sai Sudharsan played a pivotal role in setting up the triumph for GT scoring a magnificent 63 runs off 41 balls. On a surface that seemed to have inconsistent pace, Gujarat Titans' bowlers put on a remarkable display with Prasidh Krishna spearheading the attack and earning the Man of the Match accolade for his brilliant figures of two wickets for only 18 runs in his four overs.

This triumph elevated Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 points table. Having been in ninth place before this match, they have surged to third place after clinching their first victory in two games. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians endured their second successive loss of the season and have slipped one spot to ninth in the standings, now sitting just above the Rajasthan Royals. GT will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 2, while MI's upcoming match is against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 31.
