IPL 2025: Mayank Yadav to Rejoin Lucknow Super Giants Following Full Recovery from Injury

IPL 2025: Mayank Yadav to Rejoin Lucknow Super Giants Following Full Recovery from InjuryMayank Yadav, the young and fiery fast bowler, has finally recovered from his injury and is all set to return to the Lucknow Super Giants. According to sources from India Today, Mayank will be joining the team on Tuesday, April 15.

Mayank, who was kept by LSG for ₹11 crore even though he played only four matches last season, has now been cleared to play by the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. According to top sources who spoke to India Today, he is fit and ready. The final decision will be taken by the Lucknow Super Giants' coaching team, who will keep a close eye on him before putting him back in action.

He was at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) recovering from a back injury. He was supposed to be fit by the second week of April, but his return got delayed again because he hurt his toe. Coach Justin Langer had talked about it earlier in the season and mentioned that Mayank had injured his toe by accidentally kicking his bed.

Mayank coming back to the team will be a big boost, especially since they’ve performed well even with limited resources. At the beginning of the season, LSG brought in Shardul Thakur as a replacement, and he’s done a decent job so far. But it's worth noting that Shardul came in for Mohsin Khan, a left-arm pacer.

LSG are currently 4th on the points table with 4 wins from 6 matches. Their next game is against Chennai Super Kings on Monday, April 12 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
