IPL 2025: KL Rahul Rejoins DC Squad Before High-Stakes Clash vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

India wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul has joined the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp ahead of their second Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, set to be held on March 30 at ACA VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Rahul was absent from DC's IPL 2025 season opener against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) last week due to the arrival of his first child with actress Athiya Shetty.

Delhi Capitals took to their official X handle (formerly known as Twitter) to share a video of KL Rahul's arrival ahead of their second encounter in the lucrative league.

Delhi Capitals captioned the post: "You're loved. You're ours. You're home. Welcome to Dilli, KLR."

The franchise also shared a picture of KL Rahul working hard in DC's training jersey, captioning it, "Let the games begin."

Rahul is set to make his debut for the Delhi-based team in their upcoming clash against Pat Cummins' side after being acquired for ₹14 crore in last year's mega auction. DC kicked off their campaign with a thrilling one-wicket victory in a last-over thriller against Rahul’s former team, Lucknow. Ashutosh Sharma played a match-winning knock, smashing an unbeaten 66 off 31 balls, which included five sixes and as many fours, to pull off a stunning chase.

So far, KL Rahul has featured in 132 IPL matches, amassing 4,683 runs at an impressive average of 45.47. His IPL record includes four centuries and 37 half-centuries since making his debut in 2013.
