IPL 2025 Final Sets Record as Most Watched T20 Match Ever

IPL 2025 Final Sets Record as Most Watched T20 Match Ever
The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings set an impressive record, amassing 31.7 billion minutes of watch time, the highest ever for a T20 match. The match was viewed by 169 billion people on television alone, with an additional 892 million video views from digital platforms.

"The incredible viewership numbers show us how much fans love the IPL," said Sanjog Gupta, CEO of JioStar. "This season, we focused on offering something for everyone — from new viewers watching casually, to hardcore fans who don't miss a ball. Our aim was to make the experience more personalized, interactive, and inclusive for all."

IPL 2025 saw a record watch time across both television and digital platforms, with over a billion people tuning in to watch the action. There was a sharp 29% rise in digital viewing compared to last year, and 456 billion minutes of live coverage, the highest for any T20 tournament.

The IPL's opening weekend also set a new record with 49.5 billion minutes of viewing, the highest ever for any IPL opening weekend.
