IND vs WI: Team India Clean Sweeps West Indies 2-0 – ICC WTC 2025-27 Points Table Updated

The Indian cricket team, led by Shubman Gill, drew a 2-2 draw against the West Indies on the fifth day of the Delhi Test. With this, Team India easily secured the series 2-0. On the final day of the match, India needed just 58 runs with nine wickets remaining. The Indian team suffered two setbacks in the form of Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill.

KL Rahul's unbeaten 58-run knock in the first session of the following day helped India chase down the target. On the fifth day, India lost the wickets of Sai Sudarshan (39) and Shubman Gill (13), but it wasn't enough to bring West Indies back into the match. 518 runs scored in the first innings
Winning the toss and opting to bat, India declared their first innings at 518/5. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 175, while captain Shubman Gill added an unbeaten 129. Jomel Warrican took the maximum three wickets for the West Indies.
In response, the West Indies were bowled out for just 248 in the first innings. Alick Athanase scored 41, while Shai Hope made 36. Kuldeep Yadav took the maximum 5 wickets for India. Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets.

India had a 270-run lead based on the first innings. West Indies scored 390 runs in the second innings, setting India a target of 121 runs to win. West Indies' second innings once again faltered initially, but opener John Campbell and Shai Hope steadied the team with a 177-run partnership for the third wicket.

Campbell was dismissed for 115, while Shai Hope scored 103. In addition, Justin Greaves scored 50 runs. Captain Roston Chase contributed 40 runs to the team's account. For India, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets each in this innings, while Mohammed Siraj took 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar took 1-1 wickets.
