IND vs AUS: Tanush Kotian Added to Indian Test Squad for MCG & SCG

The Indian team is on a tour of Australia, playing a five-match Test series against the hosts as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The series is currently tied at 1-1. The fourth Test is scheduled to begin on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Ahead of the Melbourne Test, a big update has emerged regarding the Indian team. Mumbai all-rounder Tanush Kotian has been included in the squad for the remaining two Tests of the series. The 26-year-old is a right-arm off-spin bowler and a capable batsman.
Tanush Kotian debuted into first-class cricket during the season of 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. So far, in 33 first-class matches, he has taken 101 wickets at an average of 25.70 and three five-wicket hauls against his name. With the bat, he has scored 1525 runs at an average of 41.21 with two centuries and 13 half-centuries under his belt.
Kotian has played 20 List-A matches and 33 T20s. In List-A cricket, he has taken 20 wickets at an average of 43.60, while in T20s, he has claimed 33 wickets at an average of 20.03. With the bat, he has scored 90 runs in List-A matches and 87 runs in T20s.
