ICC, PCB Hold Crucial Talks as Pakistan Government Set to Make Final Decision on IND vs PAK Match

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent two officials to Lahore to talk with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about the India vs Pakistan match issue. ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja and Director Mubashir Usmani reached Lahore on February 8 after the PCB invited them to discuss the matter.

Government Decision Pending as ICC-PCB Talks Continue Over India vs Pakistan Match

Earlier, the Pakistani government has announced that the team will boycott the match against India in the T20 World Cup. It looks like the talks have started, and there are chances that they will reconsider their decision regarding this matter. Yes, the game can be played, and the decision depends on the Pakistani PM, Shehbaz Shari

The ICC would have wanted to know the reason why PCB was not interested in playing and meetings are in progress to arrive at a solution. Furthermore, Sri Lanka Cricket approached the PCB and asked them to consider their decision because, if they were going to cancel the game, it would result in losses.

The match between India and Pakistan is a very important game and is valued at $250 million. If there is no India vs Pak match, then all the boards concerned will stand to lose enormously. Therefore, talks to make the match possible on time continue.
