Haris Rauf Injury Update: Pakistan Star Declared Fit for ICC Champions Trophy

Haris Rauf Injury Update: Pakistan Star Declared Fit for ICC Champions TrophyAccording to the latest Haris Rauf injury update, the fast bowler is now fully fit and ready to play in the ICC Champions Trophy. The fast bowler got a minor side strain while bowling against New Zealand, which raised doubts about whether he could take part in the 8-team tournament. Because of the injury, Rauf had to miss the tri-series, and Akif Javed was chosen to replace him.

There were doubts about whether Rauf would be able to play, but after a week of rest, the medical team has cleared him. “Haris (Rauf) is fine now. The rest he got after the first match of the Tri-Series helped him recover well,” a source told PTI.

Without Rauf, Pakistan had a tough time in the tri-series final against New Zealand and ended up losing by 5 wickets. The team still hasn’t hit its best form. Saim Ayub's injury has prompted the management to promote Babar Azam up the order, and the lower middle order hasn't been in good form either.

Pakistan has only one specialist spinner, Abrar Ahmed, along with a couple of part-timers. Their pace attack is the only area performing well. When Rauf got injured, many worried they would lose their biggest strength. The good news is that Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah will have his support.

Rauf is a key player in the middle overs. His raw pace is an X-factor, and his skiddy bowling makes it hard for batters to hit him. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be relieved that they don’t have to bring in a new player directly for the ICC Champions Trophy.
