Hardik Pandya to Miss India’s Australia Tour After Asia Cup Injury

Team India's tour of Australia begins next month. Hardik Pandya would have been a key asset for the Indian team on this white-ball cricket tour. However, it now appears he will be sidelined. Team India will have to travel to Australia without him. Reports indicate that the Indian all-rounder has not recovered from his injury, which also prevented him from playing in the final of the Asia Cup 2025.
Hardik Pandya Injury Update and India’s Australia Tour Schedule
Hardik Pandya's injury was reported in the final Super Four match against Sri Lanka. He is suspected to have a left quadriceps injury, a thigh muscle injury. Ravi Shastri, who was commentating during the Asia Cup, provided information about Pandya's injury.
India's tour of Australia for the white-ball series begins on October 19th and ends on November 8th. According to BCCI sources, Pandya's current injury could take up to four weeks to recover. This means that even if he doesn't initially travel with Team India on the tour, he could eventually be available for some T20 matches there. However, a final decision on this matter will only be made after an examination by the BCCI's medical team.
The Indian team will first play an ODI series on its tour of Australia, which will be played on October 19, October 23, and October 25. After the three ODIs, a five-match T20I series will begin on October 29. These matches will be played until November 8. After the first T20 on October 29, India and Australia will play the second T20 on October 31, the third T20 on November 2, the fourth T20 on November 6, and the fifth T20 on November 8. The ODI matches will be played in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney, while the T20I matches will be played in Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, and Brisbane.
