ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 awards winners listIndia won their first Women’s World Cup title by beating South Africa by 52 runs. Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma were the stars of the tournament. Deepti was named Player of the Tournament for her steady performances with both bat and ball throughout the series.

In the final, Deepti Sharma played a key role by scoring 58 runs and taking five wickets, helping India win their long-awaited world title. She ended the tournament as the top wicket-taker with 22 wickets in 9 matches and became the only player in World Cup knockout history, men’s or women’s, to score a fifty and take five wickets in the same game. Shafali Verma also shone with a quick 87 off 78 balls, setting up India’s total of 298/7 and was named Player of the Match.
