Cheteshwar Pujara Critiques Virat Kohli's Costly Error in Perth Test's First Innings

This stance limited his ability to adjust to the rising delivery," Pujara noted. He added, "Hazlewood astutely observed Kohli's stance and exploited the pitch's bounce to full effect. Had Virat been positioned further back, he might have had the room to manage the delivery, but he was left cramped for space as the ball approached."

This dismissal adds to a troubling pattern for Kohli, who has struggled to convert his starts into significant scores. In the preceding series against New Zealand, he accumulated only 93 runs across six innings, a far cry from his usual prolific standards. Alarmingly, Kohli has recorded just three Test centuries over the past five years, a statistic that underscores his ongoing challenges in the longest format of the game.
