Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka 2025 Officially Announced – Test, ODI & T20I Dates Revealed
Sri Lanka will host Bangladesh from June 17 to July 16 for a full tour that kicks off with two Tests, moves into three ODIs, and finishes with three T20Is. It’s a month of cricket at its best, with each format getting its spotlight.
The red‑ball action starts at Galle on June 17, before shifting to the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo for the second Test from June 25. Sri Lanka have never lost a Test series to Bangladesh, who arrive fresh off a 1–1 draw with Zimbabwe in April.
After the Tests, the focus turns to the white‑ball games. The three day‑night ODIs take place at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium (July 2 and 5) and Pallekele (July 8). Then it’s on to the T20Is: the first in Pallekele on July 10, the second in Dambulla on July 13, and the final match back in Colombo on July 16.
The T20I part of this tour really matters because Sri Lanka will co-host the men’s T20 World Cup with India in early 2026. These games will help everyone get used to playing under lights at likely World Cup venues like Khettarama, Pallekele and probably Dambulla. It’s the perfect chance to sort out any issues before the big event.
