Bangladesh to Host Ireland for Two Tests and Three T20s in November 2025
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said on Saturday that Ireland will visit Bangladesh next month for a full series. The tour will have two Test matches and three T20 games, starting with the first Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on November 11. The second Test will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from November 19 to 23. Veteran player and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim is likely to play his 100th Test match during this game.
After the Test series, both teams will move to Chattogram for a three-match T20 series starting on November 24. The first T20 will be played on November 27 at the Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium and the other two matches will take place on November 29 and December 2.
Bangladesh last played a Test series in June against Sri Lanka, where they lost 1-0. Right now, the Tigers are leading 2-0 in a T20 series against Afghanistan in the UAE. Ireland, on the other hand, won their last Test match against Zimbabwe by 63 runs in February but lost their recent T20 series against England 2-0 in September.
So far, Bangladesh and Ireland have faced each other eight times in T20 matches. Bangladesh has won five of them, Ireland has won two, and one match had no result. The two teams have played only one Test match until now, which Bangladesh won in 2023.
