The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Sunday that Shamim Hossain has been included in the squad for the third T20I against Ireland.
Before the series started, T20I captain Litton Das had criticised the selectors for leaving Shamim out, a comment that surprised many as the teams went into the match with the series tied 1-1.

"Shamim was never out of our plan it was just that we wanted see what other options we had ahead of the T20I World Cup," Hasibul Hossain, former national pace bowler and current member of the national selection panel, told Cricbuzz on Sunday.
"We have a plan in place and want to proceed accordingly," he added.
