Australia continued their impressive chase to win the match by five wickets and take a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Earlier, India decided to bat first after winning the toss. Openers Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana gave the team a good start. Australia was a bit sloppy in the field during the Powerplay and dropped a few tough catches. The opening partnership of 78 runs was broken in the 17th over when Mandhana was dismissed for 31.

India was going well at one point, but then they lost quick wickets and were reduced to 130/5. Many batswomen threw their starts away. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur held her ground and scored a gritty 54. Kashvee Gautam (25), Richa Ghosh (22), and Kranti Gaud (19) added some valuable runs to help India reach 251/9 in 50 overs.
Australia had a poor start in the run chase, losing captain Alyssa Healy for 6. But Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll put together a great 119-run partnership for the second wicket, putting Australia back in the game. They scored freely and didn’t hesitate to hit loose balls.
Phoebe Litchfield scored well for 80 but didn’t reach a hundred. Georgia Voll remained composed and added 82 runs with Beth Mooney. Voll got a life on 99 when a catch was dropped and then reached her second ODI hundred. She was out for 101.
Annabel Sutherland tried to finish the game quickly but was out for 10. Ash Gardner remained unbeaten on 19 and hit the winning runs. Australia won the game with a five-wicket victory. They reached the target with 83 balls left.
