Australia and England have reached the Gabba for the second Ashes Test, which will be a pink-ball match. Australia lead the series 1–0 after a strong win in Perth. Travis Head smashed a fast century, and Mitchell Starc took 10 wickets, giving Australia control. Scott Boland and Marnus Labuschagne also played steady, important roles.

England had some good moments in the first Test, especially with Harry Brook’s batting, but their young bowling attack couldn’t keep up when it mattered. They now play at the Gabba, a stadium where they haven’t won since 1986 and one that usually suits Australia, especially with the pink ball.
