Asia Cup U19 2025: Kishan Kumar Singh Wins Hearts by Tying Pakistani Batter’s Shoelaces in India vs Pakistan Match

India U19 convincingly beat Pakistan U19 in the Under-19 Asia Cup, but aside from the victory, one incident that occurred between the players was enough to make the headlines. It happened in the innings of the Pakistani team when Kishan Kumar Singh of India, an Indian pacer, got noticed not only for bowling but for something else too.

Kishan Kumar Singh’s Kind Gesture Shines in India U19 vs Pakistan U19 Match

This incident occurred after 36 overs when Pakistani Batter Huzaifa Ehsan found that his right shoelace was untied. He gave all his efforts to tie it while standing in his crease. He asked for help, which came in the form of Kishan, who tied the shoelaces of the Pakistani Batter. This incident was caught by the cameras of the broadcaster, which went viral on social media platforms, especially among the Pakistani squad.

This picture sparked numerous talks on social media platforms, as onlookers commended the sportsman spirit of Kishan at a time of rivalry between the two opposing teams. Some social media users then used the contrast with this picture to reports of how the aftermath of the match formalities went down, which suggested that the Indian team didn't shake hands despite ICC's reported efforts towards the same.

In the U19 cricket match between Pakistan and India U19 team, the India U19 team won the match by 90 runs. Batting first, the India U19 team had early difficulty losing 9 wickets for 240 runs after just 46.1 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (5 runs), Vihaan Malhotra (4 runs) and Vedant Trivedi (1 run) were some of the major batters to be dismissed early in the innings. Ayush Mhatre steadied the innings with his excellent score of 38 runs.

His 49-run partnership with Aaron George helped them stabilise the innings at a crucial stage. The two went on to partner for an important fifth wicket partnership worth 60 runs. Kanishk Chouhan contributed a valuable 46 runs. The highest scorer for the team was Aaron George who batted superbly without losing his wicket, scoring an unbeaten 85 runs (12 fours and 1 six). For the Pakistani U-19 team, Mohammad Sayyam (3/67) and Abdul Subhan (3/42) were the top wicket-takers.

In reply to India's score of 240 runs, the Pakistani U-19 team was dismissed for 150 runs in 41.2 overs. Huzaifa Ahsan scored a good 70 runs off 83 balls, but he had no support from other batters. Deepesh Devendran was outstanding with 3 wickets for just 16 runs and Kanishk Chouhan supported with 3 wickets for 33 runs.
