Carey talked about the incident after the day’s play. He said, “I thought I heard a small nick or noise when the ball passed the bat. The replay looked a bit strange with the sound coming early. If I had been given out, I might have reviewed it, but probably not with full confidence. It did make a nice sound when it went past the bat.”
