Aimee Maguire Suspended After Career-Best Performance Against England

Aimee Maguire is the younger sister of Ireland's opening bowler Jane Maguire. She impressed everyone with her stunning 5/19 against England last year, which made Ireland win over their neighbors after a gap of 2002. She has played 11 ODIs and nine T20Is, in which she took 25 wickets in total. However, after she was reported for her suspect bowling action, Ireland excluded her from the remaining ODIs against India. She was also replaced by Genevieve Morrisey in the U19 Women's T20 World Cup squad held in Malaysia.

While Ireland’s senior women’s team struggled with a 3-0 loss in the ODI series against India, the U19 team made it to the Super Six stage of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia. Later, they will play in the Women's ODI World Cup Qualifier in April against teams like Bangladesh, Scotland, Thailand, and West Indies, and host Pakistan. This tournament will decide the last two teams for the Women's ODI World Cup, which will be held later this year in India.
