The BCCI is looking to conduct the Women’s Premier League 2026 mega auction in late November. This is the first mega auction for the Women’s Premier League since it started in 2023. According to reports, the BCCI board has communicated this to teams for the mega auction.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women is a professional cricket team in the Women's Premier League (WPL).

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru didn't play as much as their standards in WPL 2025 and failed to qualify for the playoffs, from the starting the season, RCB are defending champions. They started their IPL 2025 season with poor form and player injuries continously. RCB lost five matches continuously. The RCB's season officially ended after their must-win game against the UP Warriorz, where they lost by 12 runs.

In some games, including a few back-to-back at home, they did not finish games strongly, even after starting the game strongly. Adding to their struggle was the loss of key players such as Shreyanka Patil, Asha Shobhana, and Sophie Molineux, causing RCB to make multiple changes. With the WPL 2026 mega auction approaching, RCB is now presented with an opportunity to change their squad and address any of their weaknesses.
